Look of the moment: Soft pink lips & a matte cat eye

The right makeup can change your mood,  and since winter is settling in it's time to brighten with pinks and pink based neutrals. I chose some new shades from the Sephora brand line

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Pink Souffle is a true pink that is just bright enough, and the base has an opalescent shimmer that's a little noticeable. It will appear sheer until it sets to a matte finish. This one can require two light layers to get the color you desire.

-Avocado Oil: Provides comfort and nutrition for lips.
-A Combination of Resins and Jellifying Agents: Coats pigments and guarantees a no-transfer film for long term wear.
Vitamin E: Provides antioxidant properties.

Marvelous Mauve is a darker mauve with some brown in it. It's similar to Kat Von D Everlasting Love liquid lipstick in Lolita, only more mauve. It's close enough to be a dupe and sets to a beautiful matte finish. Remove all liquid lipsticks with olive oil and your lips will thank you!

Sephora Rouge Cream lipstick in Mmm is a paler mauve. This shade is really popular right now.

-Black Currant Seed Oil (Omega 3 and 6): Known for its protective properties.
-Olive Oil: Known for its hydrating, nourishing, shining properties.
-Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E derivative): A known antioxidant .

Sexy Game is similar to MAC Captive, but more pigmented. It's very flattering on brunettes.

My current favorite eyeliner is Make Up For Ever Ink Eyeliner. It's opaque and matte black. The applicator is the perfect size for a fast and controlled cat eye.

If you're on a budget, the Wet n Wild Mega Last liquid eyeliner in Black is a good option. It doesn't have the best applicator tip, though. I recommend drawing your flick with a matte black shadow and then filling it in with the liner.
